In a bid to take a horse from Europe to win the American Oaks in July, Team Valor have purchased German filly, 'La Ina' in a deal brokered by Johnny Roe. This filly has shown excellent group form in Germany and France and was narrowly beaten when finishing fast in the German 1000 Guineas. La Ina is a reasonably big filly, standing at over 16hh and her breeding suggests she will stay a mile and a half.

As a two year old, La Ina showed that she could act on any surface, performing well on both soft and firm ground, but had not matured as a racehorse. When she came back as a three year old, she narrowly beat the highly rated Night Lagoon. The manner of this victory showed her to be a gutsy filly, running wide and coming late to win by the narrowest of margins.

One of the deciding factors in Team Valor's decision is the excellent value currently in high quality German bloodstock.
